*Ep. 10*: Sharing my Personal Project!

Published on 1 July 2024 at 11:45

Hello there!

With the school year finally over, I can reflect on the experiences I loved and the things I would improve. Overall, my year has been great, and with the tenth episode of this still-without-a-proper-domain-name-and-therefore-practically-nonpublic blog I wanted to share something special. At the school I went to this year, I had a design class where our class was tasked with making our own Personal Projects for two months. A personal project can be anything you want to do, but it must have a learning goal (eg. learn how to bake) and a product goal (eg. a homemade recipe book). There were really some amazing products from my class, like informational booklets, rap songs, and even blankets. People learned how to solve Rubik's cubes, speak Korean, and make songs. This project was the most fun thing I did this school year, and I want to give a silent thank you to the teacher that enabled it.

What was my project, you might ask? I made a digital choose your own adventure story called the Hollow Labyrinth. It's about a person who wakes up in a complex maze with no memory of their past (does this remind you of anything?), and they have to find out why they're here. I spent about eight hours on it and it has six interesting endings. I'm proud-ish of it (the writing is not the best quality) and hoping that someday someone will find this post and appreciate this story. If anyone wants to do something similar, below is a link to the simple platform I used (Twine). The second button is a link to access my product. Enjoy?

Oh right, changes...

Something I'm adding to this blog is a website directory that will have links to various fun, semi-educational websites I spend my time on, which I will update as I go. They're all at least better than doomscrolling on social media, right? Some of them I've even wrote about in my blog (and some I plan to). I hope that this post made your day a bit better, and if not, I hope you have a wonderful day!
